The TYNA Reset: Week 6 – Gym-timidation Is Real - by Jules Part-time copywriter, Full-time overthinker

The TYNA Reset: Week 6 – Gym-timidation Is Real (But I Went Anyway)
Alright, confession time.
This week, I nearly ghosted the gym.
I got there, parked up... and just sat in my car. Scrolling. Pretending I was busy (I wasn't).
Everyone strutting around in their matching sets, doing deadlifts like they were born holding barbells. And there was me, already sweating... just tying my shoelaces.
But here's the thing: no one actually cares what you're doing.
They're all too busy worrying about their squats, their hair, their playlist.
So I marched in. (OK, shuffled.)
I stuck my headphones in, cranked up some 00s bangers, and hit the treadmill like it owed me money.
Was it pretty? No.
Did I feel like Rocky by the end? Absolutely.
Lessons from Week 6:
-
Everyone starts somewhere.
-
Matching gym sets make you feel 34% more powerful. (TYNA ones, obviously.)
-
Confidence isn't a pre-requisite. It's a side-effect.
Wins:
-
Ran for 10 minutes without stopping. (Personal record!)
-
Managed my first proper weights session without Googling 'what's a dumbbell?'
-
Felt... kinda strong
Wobbles:
-
Ate half a cheesecake after because "protein".
-
Accidentally set the rowing machine to Olympic level. Nearly launched myself into the mirror.
Onwards and upwards, my friends. Week 7, I'm coming for you!
P.S. If you've been waiting for a sign to start? This is it.
