Week 8: I Don’t Sweat, I Sparkle (and Wheeze Slightly)

You know that feeling when your leggings slide on like butter, your playlist hits just right, and your ponytail has the bounce of a shampoo ad? Yeah… that was not me this week.

This week was more “drag self through molasses” than “main character energy”. But you know what? Progress isn’t always pretty. Sometimes it’s patchy, loud, and smells faintly of deep heat.

Let me explain.


Monday:

Felt good. Gymed. Did something called a “death by EMOM”. Thought EMOM meant Every Minute On the Minute. Turns out it meant Every Muscle Obviously Melts.

Legs = jelly. Core = missing. But my TYNA Signature print leggings? Flawless.


Wednesday:

Went to a spin class. Forgot how brutal it is when the instructor smiles sweetly and then cranks up the resistance. Legs cried. Soul cried. Glutes? Haven’t spoken to me since.


Friday:

Skipped gym. Ate half a protein bar and called it cross-training. Regret nothing. Wore my TYNA Ankara set anyway, just for the vibes.


Wins of the Week:

✔ Actually wanted to move my body
✔ Got a compliment at the gym (“your leggings are hot!” – I nearly proposed)
✔ Didn't cry during planks (small mercies)


Real Talk:

It’s easy to feel like you’re not doing “enough” when you’re surrounded by gym bunnies and fitness influencers doing headstands on kettlebells. But we’re not here for perfect. We’re here for progress. For the daily “I showed up”. Even when we’re tired. Even when the only thing lifting is our mood after a good stretch.

So here’s your reminder: you’re doing amazing. Even if your sports bra is on backwards.
